Study our Teacher Development Programme at SES

One week courses for teachers of English to Primary, Secondary or adult students, and for those teaching other subjects through English.

The course

SES Teacher Development courses are an intensive but enjoyable blend of brain and learning theory with very practical methodology. Each week is tailored to the needs and situations of the participants whilst also covering fascinating work on study skills for students, developing memory, making grammar communicative, activating vocabulary, and fun with phonology. We make use of many creative worksheets which are easily adaptable to classes of different levels.

Every session is interactive and provides participants with an experience of "the best bits" of teaching strategies such as using Multiple Intelligences or Suggestopedia. There is plenty of opportunity for sharing ideas, brushing up on current colloquial English and taking advantage of the schools resources and multimedia centre. There is a project based study-visit so that everyone sees something of local cultural, scenic and social interest. The courses are led by Mark Fletcher who is Director of Studies for Teacher Training at SES and well known as an international presenter and EFL materials writer.

Every week your course includes:

• 25 hours of tuition
• 3 evening activities
• Maximum class size 8

Course tutor is Mark Fletcher, Director of Teacher Training at SES, Learning Consultant for the OISE group of schools, BBC World Service speaker on the brain and learning, British Council trainer, and author of over thirty practical brainfriendly classroom resources for communicative learning.
